Concurrent ASB/SB/SI and SL
In addition to this Service Bulletin the following documents must be observed and complied with:

  • in general all relevant Alert Service Bulletins (ASB), Service Bulletins (SB), Service Instructions (SI), Service Letters (SL), Service Instruction Parts and Accessories (SI-PAC) with relevance to perform this maintenance, repair or overhaul task.
  • SB-912-063, “Replacement of fuel pumps”, current issue

Reason
Internal quality checks revealed that in isolated cases fuel pump nipples part no. 840745 and part no. 840740 were installed with grease instead of the prescribed LOCTITE. There is a risk of loosening of the fuel pump nipples during maintenance and installation tasks.

Compliance

  1. On undelivered engines prior to delivery
  2. Before the initial installation in an aircraft and/or the initial start-up thereafter
  3. Carry out this inspection on the engine listed in section 1.1, according to the instructions in Chapter 3 at the next ROTAX® scheduled maintenance event, but at the latest after 1 year (from the date of the initial issue of this Service Bulletin)
