The vision for Scion iA was to develop a segment-buster that would change people’s perception of subcompact sedans. Scion is an unconventional automotive brand that makes it easy for social motivators to own a car that reflects who they are and where they’re going.
All Scions have only one standard trim level (mono spec) and are designed to be uniquely customized by the owner. As a well-equipped mono spec model, iA has features like a standard Low-speed Pre-Collision System,3 rear view backup camera2 and a 7-inch touchscreen Display Audio System. Besides color, the only other decisions buyers must make is whether they want the optional automatic transmission or optional Display Audio with Navigation SD card.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
Engineers and designers focused on the driver during iA development. The chassis, interior packaging and A-pillars were designed around the driver, resulting in an ideal driving position, natural posture, excellent ergonomics and improved visibility when cornering.
BATTERY SAVER
If the interior (dome) light switch is left in the On position, the light automatically turns off when locking the doors. It will remain on for 30 minutes if the driver closes the doors but does not lock them. After 30 minutes, the light shuts off automatically to help preserve the battery. It turns on when the doors are unlocked.
