- Switching the ignition on and off: Insert the key into the ignition lock. Do not depress the brake pedal. Press on the key. The key can only be removed when the ignition is switched off.
- Starting the engine: Insert the key into the ignition lock. Depress the brake pedal and move the selector lever into P or N. Briefly press on the key.
- Stopping the engine when the vehicle is standing: Move the selector lever into P or N. Briefly press on the key.
- Convenience key: You can switch on the ignition and start/stop the engine using the START ENGINE STOP button without hav ing the key inserted in the ignition lock
