Front and centre is an A-SPEC sports steering wheel with a thicker grip for improved confidence while handling paddle shifters inspired by the NSX supercar glistening metal sports pedals; and a satin silver-faced instrument panel, glowing red to further complement your performance desires.
Inside the Acura RDX A-SPEC, comfort is found immediately in the exclusive red-leather interior, complete with sporty black Alcantara inserts. If you prefer an even sleeker look, you can select a completely black interior composed of leather and Alcantara. Both options are finished with exclusive sports-oriented stitching, as well as bold seat bolsters, for when your performance side takes over.
The second you are wrapped by the calm, quiet, well-appointed interior of the Acura RDX, you realize the cabin is engineered to not only offer a premium experience in comfort, but also in focus and control. However, some accidents are unavoidable. That’s why Acura’s next-generation Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure was designed to absorb and disperse frontal impact energy more evenly around the vehicle, so less of it transfers to what really matters: the vehicle’s occupants. Moreover, frontal crash compatibility is designed into the structure, so in the event of a collision with a smaller or larger vehicle, the occupants of both vehicles, not just those in the Acura, are better protected. But we didn’t stop there. We innovated the structure around the doors, making them four to five times stronger than traditional-grade automotive steel, through laser welding, hot stamping, and the use of ultra-high-strength steel, all to improve cabin strength and help to reduce the effects of an impact.

Resting above the dash, in concert with the driver’s natural line of sight, a 10.2-inch HD display effortlessly delivers navigation and audio information. The world’s best concert halls are engineered to offer a fully immersive listening experience. So too is the Acura RDX. Rather than taking the conventional route of asking a top-end audio manufacturer to slap in their sound system, we asked eight-time Grammy award-winning producer and engineer Elliot Scheiner to craft an audio system engineered exclusively for the cabin of the Acura RDX. The result: the available ELS Studio 3D Premium audio system with 16 speakers, including four in the ceiling, and 710 watts of power that create a three-dimensional midair suspended sound image that’s precisely tuned for each occupant, completely immersing them in the music. It is most likely the world’s only 272-horsepower concert hall.
