The Webasto Air Top 2000 heater has type approvals in accordance with the EC directives 72/245/EEC (EMC) and 2001/56/EC (heating) with the EC approval numbers:
- e1*72/245*95/54*1085*
- e1*2001/56*0013*
If the heater is installed in an installation box, a Outdoor installation with air recirculation permitted. The installation box is from Webasto or must in its execution from Webasto be approved. The openings for combustion air inlet nozzles, exhaust gas outlet nozzles, and fuel pipe must be splash-proof for interior installation to be executed. For this purpose, the intended and supplied te seal can be used (see Figure 4). The seal must be in front be renewed with each installation.
Webasto Airtop 2000 Installation of the heater
The M6 nuts are included when installing the Air Top 2000 heater tightened to 6 Nm +1 Nm. The installation dimensions and the space required for maintenance accessibility can be seen from the installation drawing (Fig. 1). The specified horizontal and axial angles of inclination must not be exceeded (picture 2). For petrol heaters, we recommend installation with an exhaust gas nozzle straight down.
The air heater can only be used in recirculation mode.
A temperature sensor is installed in the heater on the heating air intake side. which, in conjunction with the control element, depends on the intake temperature and position of the setpoint adjuster, the heater in the operates the heating power range. The heating power is set so that after quickly reaching the preselected interior temperature temperature is kept at the preselected value. Minimum inner diameter of the heating air line 55 mm (nominal diameter above 60 mm).
exhaust pipe
Rigid pipes made of unalloyed or alloyed steel are used as exhaust pipes with a minimum wall thickness of 1.0 mm or flexible pipes only use alloy steel. The exhaust pipe is secured to the heater, e.g. with a clamp. For further provisions see legal provisions.
Outside temperature sensor
The installation of an outside temperature sensor is recommended when the heater is installed in a mounting box or in a poorly ventilated area (e.g. under benches). That makes it possible to avoid very short adjustment times of the heater.
Assembly and fixing
Secure the metering pump with a shock-absorbing hanger of vibrations. The mounting position is limited to the possibilities indicated in figures 15 and 16 in order to guarantee self satisfactory cooling. Due to the risk of corrosion, only use parts original Webasto for the connection between the dosing pump and the metering pump wiring harness.
